Danish seafood processing giant Espersen is selling its operations in Russia after McDonald's -- its largest customer -- pulled out of the country in the wake of the war in Ukraine.

In March, Espersen temporarily suspended operations at its Russian subsidiary, which includes production in Novgorod, Russia.

"Espersen has decided to sell its activities in Russia, and we are in negotiations with a potential buyer of the business," CEO Klaus Nielsen told IntraFish.
