Danish food processing equipment supplier Carsoe has secured a DKK 500 million (€67.2 million/$76.4 million) contract to supply processing plants to four more Russian Fishery Company trawlers.

This is in addition to seven RFC surimi processing vessels already fitted out by Carsoe -- three over the last three years at a cost of DKK 800 million (€107.5 million/$122.3 million) -- as part of the Russian government's program to incentivize a modernized fishing fleet.

"The order for four more plants is a clear sign of RFC's huge ambitions in the fast-growing market," said Carsoe CEO Hugo Dissing.
