Months into the COVID-19 pandemic in June 2020, Spanish processor and surimi producer Angulas Aguinaga launched a plan aimed at turning it into a multinational food processing company with the goal of more than doubling sales to €450 million ($444 million) by the end of 2025.

But two and a half years after the onset of the pandemic, executives are now reluctant to make further predictions at a time when consumers are cutting back on spending amid soaring living costs.
