Alicia Gallardo, head of Chile's National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) will be in Moscow next week as part of a diplomatic effort to lift restrictions on Chilean salmon entering the Russian market.
Gallardo will meet with with Sergei Dankvert, the director of Russia's Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service to "personally demonstrate the robustness of the surveillance and safety control that Sernapesca carries out and also explore collaboration agreements in the field of aquaculture," she said.

Gallardo will also visit a production site and processing plant in Murmansk together with a delegation from the Chilean salmon industry as part of a broader effort to establish business ties with Russia.
