An indefinite national truckers strike in Chile, which union leaders say has impacted more than 100 sectors, including the salmon industry moved into a second day on Friday with no sign so far of a resolution.

Drivers began what their leader is calling an "indefinite" strike at midnight on Thursday.

"The national mobilization is of an indefinite nature; we cannot continue with the degree of aggression and insecurity that we have," Sergio Perez, president of the Confederacion Nacional del Transporte de Carga Terrestre de Chile (CNTC), said in cooperativa.cl
