Cermaq and Ventisqueros are among six Chilean seafood processors approved by South Korean authorities to ship products to the Asian nation.
Because the COVID-19 pandemic makes physical inspections of Chilean plants by South Korean officials impossible, documentary evidence was used instead to approve the list of companies, which also includes Multiexport Foods, Pesquera Friosur, Cabo de Hornos and Pesquera Ludrimar.
South Korea is among Chile's top 10 export destinations for seafood and aquaculture products.
