European surimi and seafood processing giant Viciunai Group said potential buyers of its assets in Russia are insisting on acquiring the business whole, with production lines running at full capacity supported by supplies of raw materials lasting several months.

Both Viciunai and consultants at audit group EY (Ernst &Young), drafted to identify potential buyers, agree that keeping the business intact will speed up the sale process, the company said in a Lithuanian news report posted on its LinkedIn page.

Keeping the plant operational with the workforce in place means replenishing raw material stocks, which depend on fishing seasons, the company said in the report.
