Brazilian seafood canner Robinson Crusoe, owned by Spain's Jealsa group, is aiming to snatch market share in Brazil from long-established rivals Gomes da Costa and Camil through increased production and the rollout of new products.

Gomes da Costa and Camil have long dominated the Brazilian canned seafood market, but Robinson Crusoe is looking to overtake one of its two main rivals in market share terms.

It ambitions coincide with the arrival of former senior Gomes da Costa executive Marcelo Marinho as Robinson Crusoe's new commercial and Latin American director.
