The next chapter in the history of New Bedford, Massachusetts-based groundfish and scallop supplier Blue Harvest Fisheries will be written in large part by Chip Wilson, the company's new president.

Wilson, who has served as CFO for the company since 2016, was promoted to the position last week.

Last October, Blue Harvest CEO Keith Decker announced he was leaving the company and would be taking on the top role at American Aquafarms, a Maine-based startup, closed-containment salmon farming project.

Wilson will replace Decker and take on the executive leadership role as president of the company.
