Workers for Marubeni-owned North Pacific Seafoods have won a settlement related to their being held in a Los Angeles hotel without pay as part of a coronavirus quarantine.

A settlement of $440,000 (€378,561) will be paid out on a pro-rata basis to the 165 workers involved, according to the Arms Law Firm and its attorney Jonathan Davis.

"We are very pleased to reach this settlement with North Pacific,” he said.
