Salmon farmers and exporters are fighting over prices on what is typically the “busiest day of the year” for the market.
According to industry players, the salmon price will probably climb to levels just over NOK 40 (€3.70/$4.50) per kilogram, but there is uncertainty about deliveries at the end of next week.
As of Friday afternoon, little trade had been done, and reports were that sellers and buyers were still far from agreement.
