Norwegian salmon prices are increasing sharply and selling for more than NOK 50 (€4.90/$5.80) per kilo this Friday, up an average of NOK 5 (€0.49/$0.58) compared with last week, industry players told IntraFish.
"We're over NOK 50 (€4.90/$5.80). We now have sales of NOK 51 (€4.90/$5.90) and NOK 52 (€5.10/$6.10) per kilo for fish between 3-6 kilos," one producer said.
"Larger players have smaller fish right now, and that is probably the reason why we are getting that increase now," he said.
