The Norwegian salmon market is seeing less leftover fish, which is helping to lift prices by between NOK 2-4 (€0.19-$€0.37/$0.22-$0.44), according to several market sources.

Last week industry sources reported great pressure weighing on prices, which fell on average around NOK 5 (€0.47/$0.55) from the week before.

Prices for the largest fish now, however, are rising to as high as NOK 68 (€6.32/$7.49).

"Now there is positivity, without a doubt," one producer told IntraFish.

While buyers are left with fewer options and prices have crept higher, there is skepticism that this upturn will last until next week.
