While Russia’s overall Pacific wild salmon harvest slightly exceeded the pre-season forecast of 460,900 metric tons, a near 30 percent decline from the record-high catches last year is contributing to firmer domestic salmon prices.
According to Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture, wholesale prices for pink salmon rose 30 percent compared to September of last year and reached RUB 125 (€1.78/$1.96)
