The ongoing fallout from the coronavirus outbreak continues to upend trading of Norwegian farmed salmon prices, leaving businesses in the dark about how to plan for the upcoming weeks and months.
One exporter summed up the market simply as "tough."
"The coronavirus is impacting things more and more, and prices are under pressure," the exporter told IntraFish.
Big fish in particular, which typically head to Asia, are "taking a beating," the exporter added.
"There are challenges with logistics in Asia, and in addition, there are a lot of big fish coming onto the market."
