Pangasius prices reached a 10-year high last month, but market watchers are calling for government action to boost exports, according to Vietnam News.
Pangasius prices out of the Mekong Delta provinces are up VNĐ4,000 - 7,000 ($0.18 - 0.31/€0.16 - 0.28) per kilo over last year, averaging VNĐ24,000-VND29,000 ($1.06 - 1.28/€0.97 - 1.17) per kilo, giving farmers an estimated profit of VNĐ1.5-1.7 million ($66 - 75/€61 - 69) per metric ton, according to the news site.
