Norwegian salmon market sources are reporting lower prices in very light trading in which lower-quality "production" fish are fetching similar prices to superior-quality salmon.
"It has been a damn difficult week," said one exporter, noting that prices have dropped NOK10 (€0.87/$0.94) from last week.
The exporter said fillets processed from production fish are attracting the same prices as those for superior fish.
