Norwegian salmon prices appeared to be moving higher on Friday, but buyers are reluctant to pay more for fish they consider to be too expensive already, market sources told IntraFish.

"There is an upswing. But we are waiting. These are high prices," an exporter in northern Europe said, putting the main industry sizes between NOK 100-110 (€9.88-10.87/$10.61-11.67)/kg.

This compares with NOK 96 -102 (€9.48-10.07/$10.19-10.82)/ kg for 4-5/kg fish last week.

According to Nadsaq's salmon price index, last week's average salmon price (Week 21) ended at NOK 101.47
