Norwegian salmon prices have edged down this week amid slower trading and an abundance of unsold fish.
Market sources report a wait-and-see atmosphere in trading, driving uncertainty.
"There is still some unsold fish from this week, and the market is a bit slow. I think we are going down a bit, but it is too early to say," one exporter told IntraFish early afternoon.
The exporter talks of prices in the range of NOK 60-65(€6.02-6.53/$7.28-7.89)/ kg for main sizes, but emphasizes that it is premature to offer firm information without closing any deals.
