Chilean salmon prices to US shoot up ahead of Christmas
Wholesale prices for D trim salmon shipped from Chile into the United States climbed $0.16 (€0.13) per pound in the run-up to Christmas, reaching $4.84 (€4.10) per pound in week 51.
Wholesale prices for head-on size 10-12 salmon going into the Brazilian market were $5.86 (€4.90) per kg, remaining stable from the previous week.
