Shrimp prices fell in many categories at the New York frozen auction in the week ending May 19.
Although prices for vannamei from Indonesia stayed flat week-on-week, at $5.30 (€4.70) per pound for weight class 26/30 and $4.70 (€4.2) per pound for the 31/40 category, Indian, Thailand and Ecuador shrimp species followed by IntraFish fell over the week.
Indian white farm shrimp was sold at $5.95 (€5.30) per pound for the 16/20 category, a decrease of $0.05 (€0.04) per pound from the previous week; at $5.30
