Fishmeal prices have recovered steadily over the second half of the year, and are finishing the year over 16 percent higher than the same month in 2019, according to the latest prices from the Marine Ingredients Organisation (IFFO).
Statistics in November showed the average contracted prices for super prime fishmeal was at $1,588 per metric ton, a steady recovery from July, and just 2 percent lower than at the beginning of the year.
Still, the prices are at a far higher level than last November, when they sat at $1,360.
