Transportation costs continue to take their toll on Norway's farmed salmon sector, and despite relatively strong volumes of fish, prices have held steady and are even up slightly, according to farmers and exporters canvassed by IntraFish on Friday.

Transportation has been an issue both from farming and processing sites as well as from Oslo to export markets in recent weeks, and some salmon firms have been spending more time arranging transport than selling salmon, sources said.

Outside of Norway, a range of shipping and logistics issues continue to plague trade everywhere.
