Norwegian farmed salmon sales continue their post-holiday slump, with market sources reporting Friday that trading was slow, sending prices edging down slightly.
Two Norwegian producers contacted by IntraFish reported light trading activity.
Sources report prices ranging from NOK 69 (€6.85/$7.78)/kg to NOK 74 (€7.35/$8.34)/kg in the main 3–6 kg sizes -- relatively in line with last week.
"Exports are somewhat lower than last year, but it is as expected from [market analyst] Kontali's projections," one producer told IntraFish.
