Norwegian salmon prices reached their highest level in more than nine months, rising to more than NOK 70 (€6.92/$8.15) in the run-up to Easter, according to several market sources.

The last time prices stood at this level was in the second week of June 2020 - when the average price was NOK 71.1 (€7.02/$8.28)/kg. Besides that one week, prices haven't hit these highs since March last year.

"It is not easy to say what is behind this exactly, but it is the week before Easter and as long as I have been doing this, the price has never gone down before Easter," one exporter told IntraFish.
