Norway's salmon producers are currently being forced to sell their fish painfully close to production costs in the spot market, with prices in week 30 ending up at NOK 46.11 (€4.30/$5.20) and for week 31 at NOK 44.99 (€4.20/$5.00) for 3-6 kilo fish.

But analysts and producers are confident of a sunnier future ahead, with increasing demand pushing prices to new highs in 2021.
