Analysts at Norwegian brokerage Pareto Securities on Monday raised its estimate on average salmon prices in the fourth quarter to NOK 60 ($6.93/€5.90) per kilo -- 25 percent above today's price.
Despite increasingly high export volumes, prices remain at NOK 48 ($5.54/€4.72) per kilo as of last week, higher than this time in both 2020 and 2019.
However, standing biomass of farmed salmon in Norwegian netpens is down significantly in August as a result of the high harvest volumes.
