Trident Seafoods founder Chuck Bundrant, one of the most influential executives in the global seafood sector, will be memorialized Wednesday in a ceremony in Everett, Washington.

Bundrant, who died Oct. 17 at the age of 79, founded Trident Seafoods in 1973 with partners Kaare Ness and Mike Jacobson, with a plan to harvest and process crab on the same vessel, a practice that had never before been done in the Alaska fishing industry.

From that first vessel, the 130-foot Billikin, Bundrant and his partners steadily grew Trident into what is today the largest seafood company in North America, with estimated sales of near $2 billion (€1.7 billion).

Trident Seafoods will stream the memorial at the link below, beginning at 10:45 AM Pacific Standard Time.
