The Big Prawn Company Sales Director Craig Harrison has stepped down from the company's board and will leave the company in September, a company spokesperson confirmed to IntraFish.

As Harrison prepares to depart, Jonathan Mason has been named Big Prawn's new commercial manager. Claire Evans will move into the role of category manager, while Chris Feeney becomes operations director.

Harrison has been with the firm since 2010, dealing with major retail customers and overseeing the development of the company's new-products team.

Prior to this, he was account director at Waitrose for a brief period and commercial manager at Pinney's of Scotland.

In March, the UK-based shellfish supplier warned about coronavirus and Brexit risks as profits slumped.

Over the last three years, the Big Prawn Company has invested over £5 million (€5.6 million/$6.4 million) in new facilities including a new state-of-the-art fresh cooking plant to bolster the company’s global resourcing strategy that includes South East Asia and South America.
