South African fishing giant Oceana Group appointed Trevor Giles as its interim CFO until the company finds another candidate, it announced this month.

Giles, a qualified chartered accountant, has served in senior finance positions in the group for over 19 years.

Giles will take over the position from Elton Bosch, who served in the role since June of 2019. Giles was also the company's interim CFO prior to recruiting Bosch.

It is unclear what the next steps are for Bosch.

Last year Oceana Group delivered flat key financials in its 2019 annual results, as canned fish, horse mackerel and hake demand balanced losses in the company's fishmeal and fish oil segments.
