Seafood software developer Maritech appointed Thomas Brevik as logistics director on April 1. He has been hired to help the company generate growth in its transport and logistics division, a few months after the company acquired logistics-focused software company Timpex.

Prior to joining Maritech, Brevik worked in the finance industry with his most recent position as an innovation and development director at Norway's Eika Kredittbank. He was also a consultant in the Norwegian Armed Forces.

Maritech acquired the Norwegian logistics software solutions firm Timpex in October. Timpex is now fully integrated into Maritech as a new business unit focused on transportation, customs and logistics.

Due to the current unprecedented Covid-19 situation, Brevik started his position working from home in and out of virtual meetings.

In November, private-equity firm Broodstock Capital increased its stake in the Norwegian software solution firm Maritech to 98 percent.

The company first acquired 52 percent of the shares in Maritech in 2017. The company now bought the additional 36 percent of shares from Midvest Funds and another 10 percent from Bolgen Invest.

Broodstock Capital is also a principal owner of Akerbla, Billund Aquaculture, and Multi Pump Innovation.
