Executives from US seafood restaurant chain Red Lobster and foodservice distribution giant Sysco have joined the board of US-based Sustainable Seafood Partnership (SNP).

Red Lobster Chief Marketing Officer Patty Trevino and Sysco Chief Merchandising Officer Victoria Gutierrez will lend their foodservice expertise the group, SNP said in a LinkedIn post.

SNP promotes the health attributes of seafood through partnerships that raise awareness of the nutritional benefits of eating fish and shellfish.

SNP helped create the National Seafood Council (NSC) Task Force in April 2021 to provide advice and input into the formation of the National Seafood Council.
