Scottish salmon producer Loch Duart has appointed Mark Warrington as its new managing director.

Warrington, previously operations director at Loch Duart, takes over from interim managing director Simon Maguire following the retirement of Alban Denton at the end of last year.

Maguire resumes his role as finance director.

Warrington, with 30 years salmon farming industry experience, has been responsible for production at Loch Duart since 2015.

He takes up the reigns at an unprecedented time for businesses everywhere in the wake of the coronavirus health crisis.

“We intend to come through this challenge a better, stronger company,” Warrington said.

“I believe I bring a real understanding of the people and the farming techniques which have made this company great."
