Whitefish giant Russian Fishery Company (RFC) has appointed Olga Naumova as its new top executive, replacing Viktor Litvinenko.

Naumova starts her new role as general director of the Russian Fishery Company on Jan. 18.

Litvinenko, who previously held the position, will continue to work for the company as a member of the management team, said RFC, and will be general director of the subsidiary companies with responsibility for RFC’s operating business.

Naumova was formerly the CEO of Magnit, one of Russia's largest retailers.

Since November 2019, she has been a member of the boards of directors of RFC and Russian Crab LLC as an independent director; she will remain in her position in the latter even after her new appointment.

Naumova graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, and has held various roles at major retailers across the country.

Most recently, she headed up the Eastern Union, an association of leading retailers in the Far East and Siberia.

RFC is one of the largest producers of pollock globally and is among Russia’s top three producers of wild whitefish. Its main species are pollock and Pacific herring.

The company is actively involved in updating its fishing fleet through the construction of 11 new super trawlers, 10 of which are to be built under the state investment quota program.
