"I feel that it is very important that I go to Oslo. For us employees, it's about showing that the consequences of ground rent tax can be incredibly financially serious for us," says Norwegian aquaculture worker Julie Nikolaisen.

On Thursday afternoon, she is one of over 200 seafood company employees who have traveled from the coast to take part in a demonstration against ground rent tax outside the Norwegian parliament.

They have called the protest "Kystbrolet" or "Coastal Roar".
