Processing equipment maker Marel is reshuffling its executive team effective immediately to support "a more agile, diverse and customer-centric organization."

As part of the shakeups, Gudbjorg Heida Gudmundsdottir was promoted to Marel fish executive vice president as Sigurdur Olason steps down.

Gudmundsdottir first joined Marel in 2011 and was managing Icelandic operations in her most recent role.

After five years with Marel, Anna Kristin Palsdottir also stepped up to executive vice president innovation, replacing Vidar Erlingsson who will shift positions within the company.
