Miami-based Pescanova USA on Wednesday named Will Nagle its new national sales director. He will oversee national retail and foodservice accounts as part of the company's continuing growth efforts in North America.

Nagle worked as director of national accounts for US-based seafood wholesaler Slade Gorton from 2016 to 2019, where he oversaw client relationships with foodservice customers such as Sysco, US Foods, Gordon Food Service, Darden, Bloomin' Brands, Red Lobster and Captain D's, among others.

Before his work with Slade Gorton, Nagle served as vice president of sales and marketing for Open Blue and as director of national accounts with Ocean Choice International.

"As Pescanova USA continues to establish itself as a global vertically integrated seafood company in the USA that takes pride in being both environmentally and socially responsible, we are now launching new lines of innovative products that Will can confidently take to market,” said Pescanova USA CEO Chris Maze.

Pescanova USA is a subsidiary of Nueva Pescanova Group, a fishing company based in Vigo, Spain that operates a fleet of 70 fishing vessels in the southern hemisphere and runs its own aquaculture farms around the world.

Chris Maze took over as the new CEO of Pescanova USA at the start of 2019. He served as the CEO of East Coast Seafood Group from April 2017 to December 2018.

Maze replaced Richard Grant at Pescanova USA, after Grant was named international/rest of the world sales manager in the Nueva Pescanova Group’s office in Madrid.
