Former Bakkafrost CFO Gunnar Nielsen is joining fellow salmon farmer SalMar as the company's new CFO starting in April.
Nielsen has served in a number of senior executive positions in the seafood, banking, industrial, and auditing sectors.
He was CFO of Bakkafrost from 2014 - 2019.
Nielsen will replace SalMar's current CFO, Trine Saether Romuld, who is moving to the new position of CFO of SalMar Aker Ocean.
SalMar Aker Ocean was formed in August last year with a partnership between SalMar and industrial giant Aker to develop offshore salmon farming.
The goal is for the company to produce 150,000 metric tons of salmon per year by the close of 2030.
