Grieg Seafood has named a former Fish Pool executive and well-known salmon analyst Piotr Wingaard to head up a newly created business development director role.
Wingaard, who currently serves as investment director for investment group Momentum, has worked at several seafood-related groups, including most recently Biomega and Atlantic Sapphire.
Wingaard told IntraFish that he’ll be tasked with building up the company’s downstream operations, which Grieg has identified as one of its “main pillars” for growth.
“Grieg wants to get closer to consumers, and wants to enter in partnerships with a range of players along the value chain,” Wingaard said.
