FISH Standard for Crew, a voluntary, independent certification program for labor practices on fishing vessels, has hired Mike Kraft as its executive director.

Kraft was previously the vice president of global sustainability and social responsibility at Bumble Bee Seafoods for over 11 years and has previously worked in a sustainability role for The Clorox Company.

Over the past decade Kraft has effectively engaged harvesters, retail customers, auditors, non-governmental organizations and government agencies on a breadth of sustainability and social responsibility issues, according to FISH Standard for Crew.

Kraft has also been involved in collaborative pre-competitive organizations, including the Seafood Task Force.
