Mowi has hired Scott Nolan for the new role of operations director, processing and sales in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Nolan, who rejoined Mowi just over two years ago, currently serves as processing director for Mowi Scotland.
He will move on to ensure Mowi achieves the highest level of operational efficiency through coordination across the business unit and leveraging synergies from Mowi’s integrated value chain, the company said.
Nolan will continue to lead on the redevelopment of the company’s Blar Mhor salmon processing site in Fort William, Scotland, to build the facility's capacity to around 80,000 metric tons.
The Blar Mhor expansion will use robotic technology for handling and grading salmon, and much of the work will be undertaken without closure of the facility, the company said.
