Mowi Canada East has appointed salmon industry veteran Gideon Pringle as managing director.
Pringle, a former Mowi Scotland operations director and director of farming, will replace Alan Cook who on Friday announced he has moved on from the role after two years.
The new boss has approaching four decades of salmon aquaculture experience including in breeding, broodstock, freshwater and seawater development, and fish health.
Pringle said both Mowi's Canada East and Scotland share many of the same farming challenges.
