The Chilean division of Mitsubishi-owned salmon farmer Cermaq named Alvaro Poblete Smith as its new production manager.
Smith will begin his new job April 4, according to the company.
Smith, whose background is in industrial civil engineering, worked at Salmones Camanchaca for more than 15 years and headed the regional management for the last six years.
Between 2000 and 2005, Smith was a production manager at Chilean salmon and trout supplier Aguas Claras.
