Proximar, the Norwegian company behind plans for a Japanese land-based salmon farm, has recruited Dharma Rajeswaran as its chief operating officer (COO).

Rajeswaran was previously COO at Atlantic Sapphire's US land-based salmon farm until he was replaced in March as part of a restructuring of the organization to "improve transfer of information knowledge and accountability," following a mass die-off earlier in the month.

“Rajeswaran is one of the most experienced executives within onshore farming of Atlantic salmon, representing valuable insight for successful execution,” said Proximar CEO Joachim Nielsen.
