Artec Aqua, a Norwegian recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) equipment supplier, hired Asbjorn Skaro as its new vice president for projects as the company charges with further growth internationally.

Skaro was formerly senior vice president for business development and support at Kongsberg Maritime. He has also held various management positions with Rolls Royce Marine and Holte Prosjekt Consulting.

Skaro will begin in the position in March, managing the organization's new projects.

Artec Aqua was founded in 2002 and employs 40 people, with 10 additional members joining the company by spring.

Endur, a Norway-based company engaged in aquaculture, energy and maritime services acquired Artec Aqua in January, as the company ramps up its focus on the land-based farming segment.

For 2020, Artec Aqua expects revenues close to NOK 625 million (€60.5 million/$73.8 million) and an EBITDA margin close to 10 percent.
