Icelandic fishing giant Brim appointed Sveinn Margeirsson as managing director of innovation and climate affairs.
He will lead the company's climate changes policies, as well as identify new ways to cooperate with research groups and private firms to increase the sustainable use of raw material.
Margeirsson was CEO at Icelandic food research and biotechnology organization Matis for eight years.
Since 2018, he has worked as an independent consultant in innovation and policy making, with a focus on fisheries and agriculture.
