Philip Wiese, CEO of Tasmanian salmon farmer Huon, has joined Canadian giant Cooke Aquaculture as managing director of its east coast aquaculture operations in Canada, a newly created role.
Wiese will oversee and lead all of Cooke Aquaculture’s Atlantic Canadian operations, the company confirmed to IntraFish.
Cooke said it created the role in response to significant global growth in recent years and to augment its North American leadership and provide additional structure.
The company operates more than 100 farming sites in Atlantic Canada.
