Aquaculture breeding company Hendrix Genetics hired former De Heus Vietnam Managing Director Ton Hovers as business development manager for its shrimp genetics division, Kona Bay.
Hovers will focus on sales and technical services in the Asian shrimp market.
He holds over three decades of experience in shrimp nutrition and production in Asia through his various roles in De Heus and BEC Feed Solutions.
Hendrix Genetics entered shrimp in 2017 through its partnership with Kona Bay, but now it is taking the next steps through a joint venture in Ecuador that will give it more exposure to the sector.
