French seafood trade body FranceAgrimer has appointed Monique Tran as the association's representative.
Trans spent the last nine years working for ADECIA, a development and international cooperation agency in the areas of agriculture food and rural spaces, the last five of those years as director.
Her new role makes her one of the government's key liaisons on seafood trade and other general seafood matters.
Tran's appointment comes after Jerome Lafon took up a role in the management of the South Indian Ocean.
