Organic Sea Harvest, a Scottish salmon farming startup, has hired Robert Wyvill as COO.
Prior to joining Organic Sea Harvest, Wyvill was general manager of marine operations for Tasmania-based Petuna Aquaculture. He also worked for Mowi's Scottish operations for over 20 years.
Wyvill will be responsible for Organic Sea Harvest's day-to-day operations as well as negotiating with local suppliers and planning ahead.
The newly created role will take over responsibilities currently covered by other team members.
Organic Sea Harvest is the first new entry into the Scottish Industry in many years. It was officially incorporated in August 2015 and expects its first harvest this spring.
The company expects to complete its first harvest in the second quarter of this year, and is planning to supply the organic salmon market globally. Through Organic Sea Harvest’s network partners it will have access to a customer base in Europe, the United States and Canada.
